Starting in February 2012 with a frank, open and honest approach. Panoptics began as a collective of Infrastructure, Network and Service Experts who grew frustrated of the way the market was operating, so decided to do something about it.
Our founding principle and new approach to IT has facilitated rapid growth and allowed us to develop an impressive client roster including many SMB’s as well as established brands such as The Royal Opera House, Lords Cricket Ground, Clarion Events, The Brewery & London’s Olympia Exhibition Centre.
Since our formation, we have built a company of highly skilled network and infrastructure specialists, bringing together an enviable world class team with experience in designing, implementing and supporting enterprise level network and infrastructure deployments to a wide range of industry sectors.

We are not your average IT Company. We don’t believe in traditional 1st line “log and flog” or the supply of a service to any customer without truly understanding their specific requirements first – our customers deserve better! Similarly, we don’t believe that there is a one size fits all solution when it comes to any service we offer, which is why our consultants design and deliver all services in conjunction with our customers. We also recognise that ongoing flexibility is key in the current technological climate and the Panoptics Infrastructure has been designed from the ground up with this in mind, giving us the ability to provide a complete service with the adaptability to suit any specific business, sector or size.
Everyone in our customer’s organisation is important and any service we provide needs to consider this foremost. The infrastructure needs to deliver the right level of Availability, the Service Design needs to cater for whichever communication channel is the easiest to use and the Management Information needs to reflect the culture of the customer so that we can all quickly see what is working and what requires development.

How We Work
The concept behind our structure and the development of “PODs” was really obvious to us and a clear way to differentiate ourselves from the rest of the market – it allows us to create a support team that only supports a finite number of customers per pod. This ensures that each person within a POD knows all the customers meticulously and vice versa. They will then be accountable and responsible for the quality of service in turn providing additional value and truly personal support to the end user.
The main issue with delivering IT services in our opinion is that you end up either dictating to a customer on the basis that you need to homogenise your processes or you end up delivering anything they ask for and everything becomes inefficient as a result. As such, we must always remember that the requirements of the individuals will change over time so the right structure is one that delivers the best of both – principles to work against that are common throughout the entire customer base combined with the flexibility to adapt for specific requirements that are borne out of the customer business processes.
Consider each POD to be similar to a franchise business model whereby they have access to common processes and procedures, the toolkit to deal with any issues and the autonomy to put their customer first and manage the finances accordingly. This ensures that all of the expertise required to solve a problem is already within the team and the solution will always be tailored to the clients’ specific requirements. For instance, if the Network resource is sitting with the Storage resource and they are both focussed on delivering service to the client as well as maintaining the profitability of their team we move away from a model whereby people will pass calls and issues to other people but actually engage and resolve the issue as efficiently as possible.
In addition many organisations reward the sales people financially for ‘selling a deal’ and often overlook the implications of supporting that solution, therefore it is possible that the solution may pass from Sales to Project to Support with the potential for each team to misunderstand. If we collapse this process into a POD then those that identify the problem, come up with a solution and sell it to the customer will all be financially rewarded but are also the same people who will support the solution, making it pragmatic.

Highly experienced in managing IT delivery through periods of change, including PLC acquisitions, de-mergers and disposals, Graham brings a wealth of knowledge and added value for all of Panoptics customers. His experience ensures Panoptics deliver not only quality to the markets we serve but also competitive advantage to the end users we support.
With a background in Forensic Sciences and Project Management, Mark is diligent and scientific in approach. His meticulous attention to detail and relentless questioning ensures all factors & potential implications have been considered in the delivery of Panoptics services ensuring true value is obtained by all of our clients.

Andy has a background in the events industry, a fast paced sector where IT failure is not forgivable, which has led to his enviable skill set and capability of fixing literally anything.
